In Brief:
Whoopi Goldberg once again stated the Holocaust was not about race. Less than a year after being suspended and having to apologize for her offensive comments.

The Background:
In February of 2021, Whoopi Goldberg was temporarily suspended from The View after stating the Holocaust was “not about race.” After receiving massive backlash, Whoopi apologized and went about her life. Apparently, she did not learn her lesson.

During a recent interview with the Sunday Times about her upcoming film “Till,” based on the horrific racially motivated murder of 14-year-old Emmet Till in 1955. Goldberg whined about the outcry her comments received last year and defended herself, saying her claim that Jews were not the victims of racism during the Holocaust was factually correct. She claimed the Holocaust was “white on white” killing.

“Remember who they were killing first. They were not killing racial; they were killing physical. They were killing people they considered to be mentally defective. And then they made this decision,” Goldberg stated, as if that justified her earlier comment.

When the interviewer pointed out that the Nazis did not view the Jews as white people but rather as a subhuman race, Goldberg replied,

“Yes, but that’s the killer, isn’t it? The oppressor is telling you what you are. Why are you believing them? They’re Nazis. Why believe what they’re saying? It doesn’t change the fact that you could not tell a Jew on a street. You could find me. You couldn’t find them. That was the point I was making”

 Notable Quotes:
“My best friend said, ‘Not for nothing is there no box on the census for the Jewish race.’ So that leads me to believe that we’re probably not a race.’” – Whoopi Goldberg
