In Brief:
A Utah lawmaker had his house vandalized with slurs following his support of SB16, a bill protecting minor children from unnecessary and potentially dangerous surgeries and hormone change.
The Background:
More than 11 states have passed recent bills and laws protecting minor children from the long-term damage and effects of taking hormones as puberty blockers and replacement, as well as allowing minors to have life altering “gender reassignment” surgery.
And more and more, we are seeing the radicals come out of the woodwork to protect their agenda. Following his support of just such a bill protecting minors, Sen. Mike Kennedy (R-UT), had his house vandalized with the word “Fash” for fascist and the slur “These trannies bash back” spray painted in large red paint on his house and garage doors.
He responded on Facebook, stating:
"The recent vandalism to my family's home was not just an attack on me, but on the very principles our state stands for. We will not let fear and violence control our destiny. As Utahns, we will always stand up and push back against radicals who seek to push their agenda in our state. I am more determined than ever to work with the good people of Utah to make our state a better place for all, especially our children, and I won't back down.”
Notable Quotes:
"To those who seek to use violence, vandalism, and intimidation to deter me from standing up for what is right, let me be clear: you will not succeed. I will not be deterred by your cowardly actions." – Mike Kennedy
