Stacey Abrams Won't be Remembered for Her Wins but for Her Lies

In Brief:

During a recent interview with CNN, wannabe-be governor Stacey Abrams flat out lied. Again. This time, she’s claiming she’d never said the gubernatorial election had been stolen from her.

The Background:

Back in 2018, Stacey Abrams ran for Governor of Georgia and lost. But she did not take that loss well or with dignity, going so far as to claim the election was “stolen” from her through “voter suppression” of minorities. She is currently running for Governor again, and once again against incumbent Republican Brian Kemp.

According to Breitbart, this is a small sampling of her claims since 2018. Abrams has claimed “We won,” “I didn’t lose, we got the votes,” “we were robbed of an election”  and “thousands of voters had their voices stolen.” She also called it a “stolen election” multiple times and contended, “It was not a free and fair election.”

Despite Abrams’ numerous claims of the people of Georgia wanting her to be their Governor, that is not the story the recent polls tell. Most recently, polls released last week show Kemp with a  5 point lead on Abrams for their current run.

Notable Quotes:

“She’s used this whole process to line her pockets, sow distrust in democratic institutions, and build her celebrity status, and using the legal system for her own political gain, quite honestly.” – Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA)
