A reporter for Rewire News Group, Caroline Reilly, called for more violence during pro-abortion protests in a now-deleted tweet on Sunday evening. Reilly retweeted a news story about a pro-life group’s headquarters being firebombed by pro-abortion rioters saying, “more of this.” The rioters attempted to throw a Molotov cocktail into a building in Madison, WI on Sunday morning and graffitied a violent message across a wall.
Protests have been happening outside of the homes of Supreme Court Justices.
Now they’re spreading to other parts of the country and they’re becoming more violent.
In Madison, WI, a pro-life group’s headquarters was attacked with a Molotov cocktail and spraypainted with a message saying, “If abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either.”
Caroline Reilly, a left-wing reporter, retweeted a Washington Post story about the incident and said, “More of this. May these people never know a moment of peace or safety until they rot in the ground.”
Reilly’s account has since been removed, either by her or by Twitter.
Republican strategist Matt Whitlock tagged the Twitter Support team and said, “This feels a bit like calling for violence." Republican Florida congressional candidate Vic DeGrammont wrote, "How would they feel if the public started to Dox reporters that call for violence and arson? What if it came to their doorstep instead? People with a voice need responsibility when using it.”
