US Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) easily won his third six-year term. Paul, known for his conservative stance, was declared victor relatively early in the evening. In his victory speech, Paul promised to bring answers and justice to those affected by COVID and to fully investigate Fauci.
During the last almost 3 years now, Paul and Dr. Fauci have repeatedly come to verbal blows over the lack of transparency from Fauci, the CDC, and the NIH over the handling of COVID.
Fauci has accused Rep. Paul of “personal attacks” when Paul sought answers on Fauci and his ties with the Wuhan lab, as well as the connection and conflict of interest with Fauci’s wife, Christine Grady – head of the Department of Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center.
Paul promised during his campaign, if Republicans take the majority, "I will not only hold Dr. Fauci accountable, we will finally investigate why your tax dollars were sent to fund dangerous research in Wuhan."
Paul further declared, "every last document of Dr. [Anthony] Fauci and focusing on whether COVID-19 can be traced to lab research in China. I promise you this: the COVID cover-up will end.”
Dr. Anthony Fauci has announced his retirement effective next month.
"Liberty should bring people together because each and every citizen is left alone to enjoy their own personal freedoms. Liberty is that great harmonizer that allows us to live together despite our differences." – Sen. Rand Paul
