On Monday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that President Biden might answer questions when he addresses the nation about the omicron variant next Tuesday. She said it “depends on what you ask” and claimed that “he takes questions multiple times a week.” Psaki also refused to answer whether or not the President will respond to Senator Joe Manchin’s recent declaration that he will vote no on Biden’s Build Back Better legislation.
There has been much suspicion by voters and politicians about who is really running the show in the White House.
President Joe Biden has made comments about “getting in trouble” because he opened the floor for questions after he addresses the nation or press.
Now, Press Secretary Jen Psaki has said that Biden ‘might’ answer questions at next week’s omicron variant update.
A reporter shouted to Psaki, "Will he take questions?"
Psaki responded by saying, "He takes questions multiple times a week, so it depends on what you ask.”
This comes just days after President Biden addressed the nation and said that this winter will be a “winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated.”
Psaki also refused to say whether or not President Biden will address Senator Joe Manchin’s refusal to vote to approve the Build Back Better plan. Manchin is a swing vote and could bring Biden’s largest legislative agenda item to a screeching halt.
"We will provide information to all of you as outlined with our commitment from just a few months ago about being transparent about close contacts. I don't have any updates for you at this point in time, but again, we expect there to be breakthrough cases across the country, right? And certainly in the federal government." - Jen Psaki
