NY Gov Claims Rise in Crime a GOP Conspiracy

  • Flyover Country, Home

By Jackson Kincaid

In Brief:

Liberals are continuing to spin their narrative about conservatives. Last month California Gov. Newsom claimed that conservatives control the mainstream news media and are intentionally  making the left look bad. ow, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) says  voters' panicked “perceptions” of crime across the country were based on a GOP "conspiracy."

The Background:

During an interview with Al Sharpton on MSNBC, when asked how people could think Democrats are “soft on crime” and asked Gov. Hochul if Republicans are distorting crime statistics. Gov. Hochul stated, "These are master manipulators. They have this conspiracy going all across America trying to convince people that in Democratic states that they’re not as safe. Well guess what? They’re also not only election deniers, they’re data deniers."

Hochul also raised conservative eyebrows during her debate with her Republican opponent Lee Zeldin last week when she asked why the particulars of crime policy were "so important" to him.

The Daily Caller’s Brianna Lyman asked, "Has Gov. Hochul visited a subway recently (without her armed security team)?"

There has been a drastic uptick in crime on New York City subways, with homicides rising to their highest levels in 25 years since 2020.

Notable Quotes:
