The Biden administration’s vaccine mandate for all military personnel is having potentially disastrous effects on America’s military readiness. Navy SEALs who have not been vaccinated were told they would not be deployed. The number of soldiers involved in the dispute is nearly a quarter of all Navy SEALs.
In December of 2020, then President-elect Joe Biden said that he doesn’t “think [vaccines] should be mandatory.”
Fast forward to August 2021 when Biden mandated vaccination for the entire US military. That mandate is putting the jobs of 25% of all Navy SEALs at risk.
According to JustTheNews.com, many seals remain unvaccinated and are potentially unwilling to take the jab to keep their jobs.
Lt. Col. R. Davis Younts, a JAG lawyer defending the SEALs as a private lawyer, said his clients have been told a religious exemption will not be sufficient: “They have been told that if they seek a religious accommodation, they likely will no longer be able to serve our country as Navy SEALs and have been given an arbitrary deadline to comply with the vaccine mandate.”
Tim Parlatore, who represented Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher, said that "if they continue with this asinine policy you are going to have the complete decimation of the SEAL teams.”
According to a Navy source, servicemembers have until Nov. 28th to get vaccinated.
“The only people who will benefit from destroying the combat capacity of Naval Special Operations are the Taliban, Russia, China and other adversaries around the world. This is also wrong at a human level.” - Former MO Governor Eric Greitens
“According to the GAO and congressional testimony, there were similar results (departures) when the military mandated the anthrax vaccine.” - Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY)
