Medical Examiner: Autopsy Shows Epstein Was Likely Murdered

In Brief:

A medical examiner with years of experience has announced Jeffrey Epstein’s dead body appears to have been murdered, though early reports said his death was by suicide.

The Background:

Jeffrey Epstein was a high-profile financier who had connections with celebrities and influential politicians, including the Clintons and Donald Trump. Vanity Fair reported that Epstein was flying in underage girls [to his private island] long after his conviction for sex crimes—and authorities did nothing to stop him.”

Epstein was arrested for sex trafficking in July and was found dead in his prison cell in August. His death was initially ruled a suicide, but Dr. Michael Baden, a former New York City medical examiner, told Fox & Friends the autopsy, at which he was present, points to homicide.

The Daily Mail reports:

“At the autopsy on day one there were findings that were unusual for suicidal hanging and more consistent with ligature homicidal strangulation,' said the pathologist.

“Baden described how the 66-year-old financier had two fractures on the left and right sides of his larynx, around the Adam's apple.

“Epstein also had a fracture on the left hyoid bone that is above the Adam's apple, Baden explained.

'Those three fractures are extremely unusual in suicidal hangings and could occur much more commonly in homicidal strangulation,' Baden said.

“Baden - who has worked on cases involving OJ Simpson, President John F Kennedy, Phil Spector, Aaron Hernandez and more - said that the three fractures were 'rare.’”

Why It Matters:

The suspicious nature of Epstein’s death implies that Epstein knew something a high-level person or group didn’t want the world to know.

Notable Quotes:

“'I’ve not seen in 50 years where that occurred in a suicidal hanging case.”
