Actress and comedian Kathy Griffin has once again used her platform to be divisive.
This time, she’s claiming that a vote for a Republican is a vote for civil war.
Kathy Griffin is no stranger to controversy. In fact, she seems to seek it out. Back in 2017, the actress was photographed holding a bloodied replica of then-President Trump’s severed head.
Now, she is once again attempting to use her name and fame to divide the country.
Last week, Griffin tweeted, “If you don’t want a Civil War, vote for Democrats in November. If you do want Civil War, vote Republican.” Her statement has led many to ask if that was a prediction, or a threat.
The responses were immediate. Christian author Jeremy Kappell said, “The inherent message here couldn’t be more clear. If you don’t vote Democrat, there will be war. King George III had a similar message for the colonists just prior to our Independence. Don’t be bullied by Hollywood Propagandists.”
Griffin replied, stating that Republicans are the ones always inciting violence and civil war. Yet, not only was she photographed with the bloodied mockup of Trump’s head, in 2020, she advocated for the physical assault of then-President Trump by tweeting that she wanted someone to stab the commander in chief with a “syringe with nothing but air inside.” That action would be a potentially lethal act if it created an embolism, reported Breitbart.
“This is WRONG. Crazy Hollywood Leftie threatening ‘Civil War’ if Dems don’t win. Sadly, this is today’s Left: angry, hateful & violent.” — US Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX)
