Left-Leaning Communities Panic Over Possible Migrant "Invasion"

  • Flyover Country, Home

In Brief:

More and more liberals are going into panic mode with fear of migrants arriving by bus, courtesy of the overloaded southern border cities.  The same liberals who voted to not protect our borders have now decided they have an issue with the consequences of their actions. The biggest issue seems to be that the migrants are arriving in liberal elitist communities.

The Background:

After years of the Liberal Left blocking any form of border security, our southern border states have had it. And now they’re taking the only course of action they can. For months, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) have been busing thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens to sanctuary cities like New York City, D.C., and Chicago.

Likewise, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) flew about 50 illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, where former President Obama owns a 29-acre summer estate and which voted over 80 percent for President Joe Biden. Yet when the border came to them, the community had the freshly arrived migrants bussed off and out of sight within 48 hours, declaring it a “humanitarian crisis.” Later, the Martha’s Vineyard residents panicked when told another flight allegedly carrying migrants was headed their way, but it turned out that it was a chartered flight with corporate executives onboard.

Breitbart reports, “In a similar scenario last month, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, officials started prepping for the arrival of migrants bused from either Arizona or Texas, even as there were no credible reports of such a move. Like Nantucket, Philadelphia voted overwhelmingly for Biden. Some counties voted up to 97 percent for the then-Democrat nominee against former President Trump. Colorado’s elite ski resorts have also been worried that migrant flights and buses may soon arrive in their area.”

Notable Quotes:

“In Aspen and Vail, maybe, some more high profile places, but — if it does — we need to react quickly like Martha’s Vineyard did so that we can do the right thing for these people.” – Sen. John Hickenlooper (D-CO)
