In Brief:
Joe Rogan said on his podcast last week that liberals with woke agendas are “wolves in sheep’s clothing,” and warned against those who preach equity and diversity yet have ulterior motives. The podcaster and comedian also recently opened his own comedy club in Texas that will be anti-cancel culture, advising people to research comedians ahead of time to find out their flavor of humor instead of being offended.
The Background:
Joe Rogan continues to use his number one podcast as a way to speak to audiences all across America without buying into partisan rhetoric. While not a traditional conservative, Rogan has continued to push people to think outside the box and not buy into the liberal agenda and woke narratives.
“Look at what they try to do, look at what people try to do to stop criticism on Twitter, they f—-ing send the FBI to Twitter to try to remove people from Twitter because they’re saying things that interfere with the way they govern,” Rogan said on his podcast last week. “All that s—- is natural and the Founding Fathers were the only people that put together a system to mitigate that.”
He warned his listeners that the woke agendas pushed by liberals were nothing more than attempts by the political elite to get the people to follow their will.
“Over time these … corrupt [expletive] have done an amazing job of trying to chip away at that or convince people it should be chipped away at, and convince people that ‘freedom is not important, what’s important is equity and inclusiveness and diversity,’” he continued. “No no no that is a sheep costume the wolf wears, and the wolf is control, the wolf is control over people and forcing people to bend to your ideological will, whether it’s the will of the people on the right or the will of people on the left. That’s the form that it comes in, it comes in the form of ‘equity and inclusiveness.’”
Rogan also opened his own comedy club last week, called the Comedy Mothership, and stated that it will be anti-cancel culture.
“Comedy is subjective and certain comedians are not for everybody. Watching a YouTube clip or reading the headliner’s biography is a great way to get insight on the expected performance,” the Comedy Mothership website says.
Notable Quotes:
“The way this country is run, it’s not perfect, the way this country is run is so f***ing superior to any system that is anywhere else in the world because of the checks and balances that were put in place by the Founding Fathers. They knew that tyranny is a natural course of progression for human nature.” - Joe Rogan
