Fauci Once Again Under the Microscope

  • Analysis, Home

By Jackson Kincaid

In Brief:

Following the recent revelation that COVID did leak from the Chinese lab, eyes are focused on Dr. Fauci once again. This time, it’s for the repeated misinformation Fauci pushed while accusing everyone else of “misinformation.”

The Background:

Fox News reported recently that an internal investigation found that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) did not execute proper oversight of the nonprofit group EcoHealth Alliance, which was awarded nearly $8 million in federal research grants to study bat coronaviruses in China. And why is this relevant? Dr. Fauci was head of the NIH.

Yet when questioned, Fauci has vehemently denied involvement or that it was possible for COVID to be lab-grown.

As the New York Post stated so well: “Before Congress, he lied and lied and lied — only to be proved a liar when the National Institutes of Health admitted passing funds to the Wuhan Institute of Virology via the nonprofit EcoHealth Alliance (run by Peter Daszak, who organized his own campaign to suppress the lab-leak theory).”

Not only did Fauci lie and deny, he put down anyone who questioned his version of events. In one instance, he claimed that the congressional Republicans grilling him over the issue were contaminated by “a distinct anti-science flavor.”

And yet another time stated it was “molecularly impossible” for the viruses being worked on in Wuhan to have mutated into the one responsible for the pandemic.

Notable Quotes:

“I would not do anything about this right now. It is a shiny object that will go away in times [sic].” – Dr. Fauci 2021 referring the lab theory
