Emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop show that his father potentially met with Hunter’s foreign business associates during his time as vice president. One Ukrainian business leader even thanked Hunter for giving them the opportunity to meet his dad.
In September 2019, then-presidential-candidate Joe Biden told a Fox News reporter that “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”
But recent investigative reporting from the New York Post reveals that was a lie.
In a recent report, emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop, which was recovered from a Delaware computer repair shop, contain evidence that Hunter connected his father to at least one business leader from a foreign country.
Vadym Pozharskyi, an executive at Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, sent Hunter Biden an email in 2015 thanking him for helping him meet the Vice President: “Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together.”
This all allegedly took place at a dinner Hunter set up for his foreign friends to discuss business and meet his father. This dinner was held under the guise of philanthropy through Whole Food Program USA, a non-profit where Hunter used to sit on the board: “Ok – the reason for the dinner is ostensibly to discuss food security,” Hunter wrote in an email. “Dad will be there but keep that between us for now. Thanks.”
All of this points to more involvement in Hunter’s foreign business dealings than President Biden has admitted. The only question now is what can be done about it and who will be willing to do it.
