In Brief:
In a recent interview, former Democrat Representative Tulsi Gabbard said Biden was “absolutely wrong” in his statements about the alleged whipping of illegal immigrants at the southern border. Biden initially said “there will be consequences” before any investigation had been completed. Gabbard said he was acting as the “judge, jury, and executioner” and implied that he was acting like an autocrat and dictator.

The Background:
Last week, pictures were released of Border Patrol agents supposedly whipping migrants crossing the border near Del Rio, Texas. It turns out that the story created around those pictures by left-leaning politicians and journalists is completely false. The pictures showed horse-mounted agents holding their reins.

Multiple so-called human rights organizations and Democrat politicians immediately came out against the whippings. The Biden administration even went so far as to discontinue the use of horses in border enforcement.

But on Friday, President Joe Biden made a statement saying, “I promise you, those people will pay. There is an investigation underway right now and there will be consequences.”

Former Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard came out hard against the President on Fox News. Gabbard compared the President to a dictator saying, “He’s somebody who’s been very outspoken as being against autocrats, autocracies, dictators, but what he essentially did was act as judge, jury, and executioner for these Customs and Border Patrol agents on horseback.”

Gabbard indicated Biden should apologize and all Americans should be concerned about the future of “innocent until proven guilty” in this country.

“How can they expect to have any kind of fair outcome to an investigation when the President of the United States has already declared their guilt and that they will be punished?” - Former Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard
