Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) spoke on the floor of the U.S. House Wednesday, stating that those who pushed to impeach President Trump were hypocrites. Boebert pointed out that Democrats were accusing Trump of inciting violence, when they had justified wide-spread violence that occurred throughout the U.S. over the summer as a result of protests and riots.
After the events at the Capitol, the House of Representatives voted on Wednesday to impeach President Donald Trump. According to Breitbart, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) objected, and called out Democrats for their failure to condemn the riots that occurred across the country in the summer. She declared, “Make no mistake here. The hypocrisy of the left is on full display."
Rep. Boebert referenced a statement made by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) in regard to looting, wherein she stated that “[maybe] they feel like they either need to shoplift some bread or go hungry.” Rep. Boebert finished her comment by stating, “The last I checked, Best Buy, Tesla, and the stores alike do not produce baked goods.”
