Celebrity: Planned Parenthood isn't Killing Children, it's the NRA

In Brief:
On Sunday, singer and actress Bette Midler claimed that “Planned Parenthood isn’t killing children” in a tweet. The actress said that the National Rifle Association is responsible for killing children instead. Since the draft opinion was leaked from the Supreme Court last week, Midler has been on a Twitter rampage against the conservative justices and pro-life advocates.

The Background:
The leaked Supreme Court draft opinion has made the far-left go wild. They’ve been marching in front of certain Justices’ homes, gathering at the steps of the Supreme Court, and some have even thrown molotov cocktails at a pro-life group’s buildings.

But some liberals are sounding off on Twitter instead of on the street. Bette Midler has been vigorously tweeting since the news broke last week.

“#SCOTUS has revealed itself to be just another political tool, as the three new unabashedly biased conservatives plus the old push the court to undermine women’s rights. Shameful. They will never recover from this; it’s right up there with #DredScott and #PlessyVFerguson,” she wrote.

Midler’s potentially worst and most confusing tweet came on Sunday when she tweeted a statement saying, “Planned Parenthood isn’t killing children. You’re thinking of the NRA.”

Midler has long been a critic of the NRA and accused them of killing children in the past.

Notable Quotes:

“In his draft to abolish #RoeVWade, #JusticeAlito noted, as #JusticeAmyConeyBarrett did during the oral argument before the court, that safe haven laws allow women to drop off babies anonymously. There are 400,000 children in foster care. How can a failing system handle any more?” - Bette Midler
