California Billboards: Don't Move to Texas

  • Flyover Country

In Brief:

Billboards in two major California cities are warning residents considering a move out of state. They’ve decided to stir up fear that those who move to Texas will have their children shot in the schools.

The Background:

The last few years have seen a reverse Oregon Trail as it were. California residents have increasingly decided to leave the Leftist-run state for freedom-loving Texas. Major corporations have followed the trend as well, putting serious hurt on California’s tax revenue.

Following the tragic May 24th school shooting, California is using the face of the alleged shooter to warn residents to not move to Texas.

Yet, the billboards  fail to mention that California was the No. 1 state for “active shooter incidents” in 2021. Breitbart News reported that California was simultaneously the number one state for gun control in 2021 and the number one state for “active shooter incidents.”

The New York Post states, “According to a study by the Texas Real Estate Research Center, one in every 10 Texas transplants is from California. Last spring, California lost a House seat as its population declined relative to other states, while Texas gained two.”

Notable Quotes:
