Biden Gets Lost Again... On the South Lawn

In Brief:

Biden’s mental acuity has been under scrutiny since he announced his run for president. And his track record is continuing to show the validity in such concerns.

After a recent speech the commander-in-chief — who turns 80 next month — was seen spinning around on stage, searching for the exit, before finding it and hustling off stage, appearing to mumble to himself in the process. Biden also confused onlookers and his handlers alike as he wandered away from the podium during a speech at FEMA headquarters about the devastation caused by Hurricane Ian.

And most recently, he got lost on his own lawn.

The Background:

President Biden looked lost during a tree-planting ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House on Monday when staffers needed to point him in the right direction.

Various outlets reported that the president walked off into the garden before turning around and asking, “Where are we going?”  Staffers were heard off camera telling a baffled Biden how to get back inside the White House.

The president appeared to ask at one point, “What if I want to go that way?” to which someone responded off camera,“You can go that way if you want.”

“You can do whatever you want,” another staffer assured the president.

“Yeah, I notice how much freedom I have,” Biden appeared to joke, as he joined his wife and started walking in the correct direction.

Notable Quotes:

“It is known that Biden is not articulate. Since taking office, he has uttered all sorts of strange words and expressions. Biden is poor in verbal expression.” -- China’s Global Times
