During a speech at South Carolina State University’s graduation ceremony, President Joe Biden made another gaffe calling Vice President Kamala Harris “President Harris.”
This is not the first time the President has done this.
The last time, it fed into many political commentators' beliefs that someone else was really running his presidential campaign and now the White House.
During a speech at South Carolina State University in mid-December, President Biden said this: “All kidding aside, of course President Harris is a proud Howard alum.”
He was addressing a group of the University’s newest graduates.
This is not the first time President Biden has made this particular misstatement. In March, President Biden called Kamala Harris ‘President’ while making an announcement about the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines. And back before the 2020 election, Biden referred to his campaign as the “Harris-Biden” campaign. Biden has also forgotten the names of members of his own cabinet.
This particular “President Harris” gaffe has fed the belief of some people that someone else is really running the show in the White House. For others, it is more of another confirmation that Biden has serious mental problems.
Despite all this, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has said that Biden plans to run for reelection in 2024. Biden has confirmed this saying he will run as long as he is in good health. The President will be 82 years old in 2024. Biden is already the oldest person to ever assume the role of President.
