Biden 2024 "Remains to be seen"

In Brief:

As 2024 approaches, the world is waiting with bated breath to hear who will be the Presidential nominee for the Democratic Party. Historically, it has been an accepted assumption for the sitting president to run for a second-term. However, due to his age, fading mental acuity, and numerous failures in his first-term, even the most Liberal Leftists in the party are refusing to publicly support a second-term run for Biden. The support has been so low that Biden himself has now backpedaled and admitted that he is unsure of a second-term run.

The Background:

During an interview with 60 Minutes, Biden stated, “Look, my intention, as I said to begin with, is that I would run again. But it’s just an intention. But is it a firm decision that I run again? That remains to be seen.”

This is a stark contrast to the previous statements and declarations made by Biden, having historically stated he would run again, despite the fact he would be 86 years old when that term ended.

Biden had even gone so far as to tell former President Obama he intends to run again. However, some members of the Democratic party have said that the president should let a younger generation take charge in the White House.

In response, Biden told his critics to “watch me!” and further stated that “honest to God, that’s all I think. Watch me. If you think I don’t have the energy level or the mental acuity, then, you know, that’s one thing. It’s another thing, you just watch and, you know, keep my schedule. Do what I’m doing. I think that, you know, I don’t– when I sit down with our NATO allies and keep them together, I don’t have them saying, ‘Wait a minute, how– how old are you?'”

Yes, Mr. President. We are watching, and we have been watching, as you and your party take our Nation on the dumpster fire of a ride the last two-and-a-half years have been.

Notable Quotes:

“It’s much too early to make that kind of decision. I’m a great respecter of fate. And so, what I’m doing is, I’m doing my job. I’m gonna do that job. And within the timeframe that makes sense after this next election cycle here, going into next year, make a judgment on what to do.” -- President Joe Biden
