A left-wing activist has been arrested and charged for his role in the Capitol riot. Left-wing and Antifa violence has continued despite the transition to a Democrat in the Oval Office. Antifa agitators rioted in Portland, Denver, and Seattle as Biden was inaugurated, stating that they “don’t want Biden, [they] want revenge.”
A left-wing activist has been arrested and charged in connection to his role in the Capitol riot, reports DISRN. John Earle Sullivan has been charged with violent entry, civil disorders, disorderly conduct, and improper entrance into a restricted building. He was recorded on video as encouraging the destruction of the Capitol, stating, “We gotta get this s—- burned,” and “We did this together… We are all part of history.” Sullivan was interviewed on CNN and MSNBC about his presence when the Capitol police shot and killed a woman during the riot.
The transition of power has not stopped the far left from continuing to stage riots across the country. The Daily Mail reports that protests occurred in Portland hours after Biden was sworn into office. Antifa members smashed windows of the Portland Democratic Party headquarters, spray painted anarchist symbols on the building, and carried signs that read, “We don’t want Biden, we want revenge.” In Denver, protestors carried signs denouncing both Biden and Trump, burned American flags, and vandalized numerous business with anarchist symbols. In Seattle, multiple left-wing protestors were arrested for property damage and assault. Similar protests were held in Denver and Sacramento.
“'This is such a monumental day,' one of the speakers [in the Portland protest] told the crowd. 'Because today is the day we dump Trump. But we need to embrace resistance too. The fight is just beginning.'” - The Daily Mail
